JAKARTA - Jumlah pasien gangguan ortopedi atau gangguan tulang sendi dan nyeri tulang di Indonesia yang mendapatkan pelayanan atau perawatan di rumah sakit di Malaysia cukup tinggi.
Masalah gangguan ortopedi menjadi salah satu penyakit yang paling umum dialami oleh berbagai kalangan saat ini yang disebabkan gaya hidup tak sehat, kurang gerak dan olahraga.
Konsultan Ortopedi, Arthritis, dan Sport Surgeon dari ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital Malaysia, Dato Dr Badrul Shah Badaruddin mengungkap, bahwa kini banyak pasien yang mengeluhkan penyakit arthritis.
"Orang Indonesia sampai berobat ke rumah sakit khusus Ortopedi di Malaysia adalah karena keluhan arthritis dan kondisinya kronis, bahkan yang menjalani operasi,” ujarnya belum lama ini.
Saat ini, ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital terus melakukan berupaya untuk memperluas cakupan perawatan ortopedi bagi pasien-pasien di Indonesia.
Dr Savitha Dharan, Chief Executive Officer, ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital mengatakan, sebagai rumah sakit ortopedi khusus ingin membangun ekosistem perawatan ortopedi di seluruh Malaysia dan di kawasan sekitarnya.
"Dengan perluasan cakupan ke Indonesia melalui partner kami, kami sekarang selangkah lebih maju untuk memastikan masyarakat Indonesia dapat mengakses perawatan ortopedi saat bepergian ke Kuala Lumpur," kata Savitha Dharan saat MoU dengan perusahaan digital TPA (Third Party Administrator) dan International Medical Assistance Company, yaitu HealthMetrics Group melalui anak perusahaannya PT AA International Indonesia di Jakarta belum lama ini.
Dikatakannya dengan MoU ini, akan ada lebih dari 2 juta member atau peserta dengan cakupan yang dikelola di bawah AAA akan dapat mengakses berbagai perawatan ortopedi yang disediakan oleh ALTY.
"Tidak terbatas kepada layanan perawatan Total Knee dan Hip Replacement (TKR & THR), tetapi termasuk juga revisions, dan operasi tulang belakang, seperti Skoliosis dan intervensi kompleks lainnya," katanya.
Alvin Yuan, Chief Executive Officer HealthMetrics Group mengatakan, kerjasama ini memperluas jaringan medis internasional dan menghadirkan layanan perawatan ortopedi komprehensif mereka kepada member atau peserta kami di Indonesia.
"Kemitraan ini merupakan bukti komitmen kami untuk menyediakan layanan kesehatan yang mudah diakses dan berkualitas tinggi bagi semua Member kami,” katanya.
Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia menyebut warga Indonesia yang menjalani pengobatan keluar negeri mencapai sejuta orang setiap tahunnya terutama ke tiga negara tujuan meliputi Malaysia, Singapura dan Thailand.
“Kita setiap tahun kehilangan 11,5 miliar dolar AS karena banyak masyarakat Indonesia, sekitar 600 ribu hingga 1 juta orang yang berobat keluar negeri,” kata Wakil Menteri Kesehatan Dante Saksono Harbuwo di Banda Aceh, Kamis (24/3/2022).
